Shared Health is seeking a supplier for a Health Canada approved automated molecular analyzer system to perform sample-to-result nucleic acid amplification testing at Cadham Provincial Laboratory (CPL). The system must include analyzers (minimum two fully automated units), UPS, computer, printer, any applicable peripherals, associated software and licenses, and be capable of interfacing with CPL’s Laboratory Information System via Data Innovations Instrument Manager Software; countertop analyzers must be supplied with a suitable cart at no extra cost. The mandatory test menu includes a single combination bacterial enteric assay (Salmonella spp., Campylobacter spp. [jejuni and coli], Shigella spp./Enteroinvasive E. coli, Shiga toxin 1 and 2 producing E. coli), an extended bacterial enteric combination (Yersinia enterocolitica, Enterotoxigenic E. coli, Plesiomonas shigelloides, Vibrio spp. [vulnificus, parahaemolyticus, cholerae]), a bacterial assay for Clostridioides difficile toxin B, and a viral enteric combination (Norovirus GI/GII, Rotavirus A, Adenovirus F40/41, Sapovirus genogroups I–IV, Human Astrovirus). Optional assay capabilities may include parasitic pathogens and antibiotic resistance genes (CPO, VRE). All consumables, reagents, calibrators and quality control/calibration verification materials compatible with the system must be supplied, and the proposed offering may be on a reagent lease basis where the supplier retains ownership and is responsible for service and maintenance; a single platform solution that provides backup testing and streamlines workflows is preferred.
