Tender: Pigeon Lake Firewood Storage Shed Replacement

Contractor needed to replace a firewood storage shed at Pigeon Lake PP. Work includes mobilization and demobilization, first call and secondary utility locates, erection of public signage, removal and off-site disposal of the existing 20’L x 19’D x 9’T woodshed, vegetation removal and site prep, and construction of a new 26’L x 16’D lean-to firewood storage shed with 14’T front walls and 10’T rear walls on a compacted 3/4‑inch road crush pad. The new shed requires 2” x 6” wall framing at 24” o/c with LVL headers on 6” x 6” pressure-treated sleepers flush with grade, 1/2” pressure-treated plywood bottom course and 7/16” OSB above 4’ grade, a water resistive barrier such as Tyvek® (or equivalent with project manager approval), two 8’ height front openings with an 8” x 8” pressure-treated centre support post, six courses of 2” x 6” on interior rear and side walls to protect against deliveries, two welded double-swing lockable gates (8’ T, 1-5/8” frame with 9 ga chain link) sized for approximately 12’ wide openings, roof framing of 2” x 8” at 24” o/c with 4” overhangs and 1” x 4” strapping, 26ga metal roofing Westform Metals WF-12-36® (Metro Brown) or equivalent with approval, three solar-powered motion-activated lights (two interior, one exterior above gates), and full site cleanup with all debris removed offsite (not to be placed in parks refuse containers).
