About

Shared Services Canada is seeking a supplier for the provision and operation of Lightspeed Low Earth Orbiting (LEO) satellite services, as provided by Telesat LEO ULC, on an as-and-when required basis for use by SSC and its partner organizations/clients. The Lightspeed Services offer Canada’s only sovereign enterprise-grade LEO satellite constellation with inter-satellite link capabilities that can enable traffic originating outside Canada to land in Canada through Canadian gateways (within applicable regulatory policies). Services are characterized by low latency, high throughput, dedicated bandwidth capacity (committed information rate), public networking with terrestrial landing station infrastructure and global Points of Presence, private networking with Private Access Stations at facilities, dedicated backhaul capability, enterprise-level fully managed services (including site survey, installation, commissioning, helpdesk, billing, ongoing maintenance, engineering and customer support) and coverage across Canada and globally.
