About

Correctional Service Canada is seeking a supplier for the removal and replacement of two transformers at Beaver Creek Institution (Minimum) to comply with the Canadian Environmental Protection Act and the polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) Regulations by December 31, 2026. One pad-mounted transformer installed in 1975 contains PCBs at 172 ppm, which exceeds the regulatory threshold, and a second pole-mounted transformer has reached the end of its service life and may contain PCBs.
