Alberta is seeking a supplier to assess and recommend standardized methods for cost‑benefit assessments when evaluating potential large water storage and related infrastructure projects. The work will build on previous studies and be informed by a review of funding and delivery approaches, identification of long‑term water storage needs, standardization of cost‑benefit assessment methods (the project focus), and technical evaluations of potential storage and related infrastructure to support water availability, security and reduced flood and drought risks. The intent is to develop comparable, province‑wide approaches for assessing large water infrastructure investments.
