Strathcona County is seeking information from suppliers to develop a Teams-based telephony strategy to assess replacing its current Mitel enterprise telephony environment using existing Microsoft 365 licensing with Teams Phone. The County has approximately 1,100 telephone endpoints across administrative, operational, public-facing and safety-sensitive environments and requires an orderly migration and decommissioning approach, support for call queues and departmental workflows (ACD, attendant, supervisor), reporting, recording and analytics, handling of analog, paging, emergency, elevator, fax, common-area and ring-down lines and other specialty devices or integrations, administrative role-based controls and knowledge transfer with a support model that avoids supplier dependency, Canadian emergency calling, privacy, security, resiliency and operational continuity requirements, call recording at extension and individual business line levels with administrative controls, and detailed customizable scheduled call reports; the final scope, architecture, implementation approach, service model, service levels and procurement structure have not yet been determined and this RFI is being used to validate those elements before any future competitive procurement.
