About

City of Saskatoon is seeking a supplier for Mobile Organic Biofilm (MOB) technology to integrate into an activated sludge system. The Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) indicates the City intends to award a contract to a pre-identified supplier believed to be the only one capable, while allowing other suppliers to submit a statement of capabilities demonstrating they meet the requirements by the submission deadline of 2:00:59 p.m. CST, Friday, November 6, 2026. The MOB technology must support the growth of nitrifiers to create a stratified microbial community that facilitates simultaneous biological nutrient removal; MOB particles must flow between reactor zones and into secondary clarifiers where they settle, and be retained in the system using separation devices such as a rotary screen and returned to the bioreactor. Respondents must register on the City’s electronic bidding system at saskatoon.bidsandtenders.ca to download the solicitation, ask questions, receive addenda and submit their statement of capabilities, and award notification will be posted to that system.
