About
Employment and Social Development Canada awarded a contract to Jade Anderson for Communications Research Services.
The main research objective was to engage with a diversity of 2SLGBTQI+ older adults to fill gaps in knowledge, understand their unique challenges, barriers, successes, and needs for aging in place.
This mixed-methods research investigated the financial, psychosocial, housing, medical, and legal barriers to aging in place experienced by 2SLGBTQI+ older adults.
The project supported ESDC's commitment to the 2SLGBTQI+ Federal Action Plan to improve and strengthen data and evidence-based policy on 2SLGBTQI+ persons and provide information for the new Aging-at-Home Benefit.
The contract was sole-sourced and valued at CAD 25,495.46.
