Tender: Construction of New Madden Fire Station, Rocky View County – General Contractor Pre‑Qualification

Rocky View County is seeking a general contractor pre-qualified to construct a new approximately 12,000 square foot fire station on a 4.0 hectare parcel in the Hamlet of Madden. The project includes a building with three double‑deep apparatus bays, a training tower with a cistern below for the fire suppression system, capacity for 40 volunteer firefighters, office space, IT room, lunchroom, instructional training room, fitness room, showers and changing areas, and a sprinkler (fire protection) system; water and wastewater services will be provided by an on‑site well and septic storage tank. The contractor is also responsible for site civil works within the site boundary, including site grading, landscaping, site access, parking lot works (curbs, sidewalks, surfacing, lighting, plug‑ins), utility connections, and maintaining adequate erosion and sedimentation control during construction. Substantial completion is scheduled for Spring 2028, and the contractor must work collaboratively with the County’s Project Manager, Project Architect, and Engineers. This pre‑qualification process will allow Rocky View County to rate, rank, and select eligible contractors to bid the required construction services.
