About

MCM Architects Inc. is seeking a General Contractor to construct a 1,703m² concrete, steel and masonry frame addition to the Simkin Centre. Bids must be emailed to [email protected] before 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, October 29th, 2026. A mandatory site examination for all General Contractors intending to bid will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8th, 2026; General Contractors not in attendance are not eligible to bid and their submitted bids will not be opened. Only the following invited General Contractors may submit bids: Concord Projects; PCL Construction; Parkwest Projects; Penn-Co Construction; Westland Construction; Ackman Construction; Ernst Hansch Construction; Schinkel Development/Superior Projects. Subcontractors and suppliers are encouraged to submit trade pricing directly to the invited General Contractors. Drawings, specifications and any addenda are available digitally via Winnipeg Construction Association (www.winnipegconstruction.ca – WCA BuildWorks), Construction Association of Rural Manitoba (www.carm.ca – PlanPoint) and Condata (www.condata.ca); no hard copies will be provided and it is the responsibility of each bidder to download all required digital content. A Bid Bond of 10% of the Bid Price, with Consent of Surety, must accompany bids. The lowest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted.
