Correctional Service of Canada (CORCAN Prairie Region) is seeking a supplier to deliver H2S Alive and Confined Space vocational safety training leading to certification for groups of offenders at specified CSC institutions and community locations in Alberta, including Bowden, Drumheller, Edmonton-area sites (Edmonton Institution for Women, Edmonton Institution, Grierson Centre, Community Industries, Pê Sâkâstêw Centre) and Grande Cache Institution. The contractor must provide qualified instructors, all training materials, practical exercises, testing, PPE and equipment, an equipment/tool list two weeks before start, lists of successful participants and certificates within 21 days of course completion, and accommodate separate scheduling of courses as required. CORCAN will provide facilities, participant selection and confirmed numbers two working days before courses, storage and practical training space where available, and will pre-approve media used in instruction. The contract includes security requirements, is open only to Canadian suppliers, is evaluated on the lowest priced compliant bid, may be set aside or awarded with a preference for Indigenous suppliers under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business if two or more responsive Indigenous bids are received, and runs from contract award to January 31, 2028 with two optional one-year renewals.
