Tender: Prequalification for Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Services – Strathcona County

Strathcona County is seeking engineering consulting firms to prequalify to provide Mechanical Consulting Services and/or Electrical Consulting Services for capital construction, renovation, renewal, lifecycle replacement, and infrastructure projects at County-owned facilities within the legal boundaries of Strathcona County. The procurement is divided into two Areas of Specialization (Mechanical and Electrical); the County will select up to four qualified respondents for each area, firms may submit for one or both areas, and each area will be evaluated independently on qualifications, experience, methodology, and proposed resources. Successful respondents will be invited to enter into a Master Framework Agreement and may be invited to participate in second-stage procurements; selected firms are expected to provide a full range of consulting services across the project lifecycle including concept and schematic design, validation of other consultants' designs, design development, preparation of construction documents, specifications and technical reports, sustainability/energy efficiency/decarbonization support where applicable, BIM modeling and clash detection, procurement support, contract administration and construction-phase services, commissioning/start-up/warranty and project closeout, specialty mechanical or electrical system design as applicable, and review and comment on other consultants' design documents.
