About

The City is seeking a supplier to develop a Wildfire Risk Overlay map and associated zoning regulations for Zoning Bylaw 20001. The work will create a zoning overlay that identifies areas within the wildland urban interface (WUI) where the greatest wildfire risk is present and indicates where wildfire risk mitigation zoning regulations should be applied to affected properties. The purpose of these regulations is to minimize damage and disruption to private and public property in the WUI, support reducing the cost of rebuilding after a wildfire event, and ensure the safety of those living in wildfire risk areas.
