Tender: Hospital Donation Physician Positions – Expressions of Interest for Multiple Ontario Hospitals

Ontario Health (Trillium Gift of Life Network) is seeking expressions of interest for Hospital Donation Physician positions at multiple Ontario hospitals including Toronto East Health Network–Michael Garron Hospital; Peterborough Regional Health Centre; Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre; Sick Kids–The Hospital for Sick Children; St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton; Unity Health–St. Joseph’s Health Centre–Toronto; North York General Hospital; MacKenzie Health (Mackenzie Richmond Hill and Cortellucci Vaughan sites); Southlake Health; and Waterloo Regional Health Network–Queen’s Boulevard. Hospital Donation Physicians will act as key members of the multidisciplinary team championing donation as a critical component of high-quality end-of-life care, ensure communication of mandatory notice and consent requirements under the Gift of Life Act to hospital physicians, work with Executive and Operational Leads to align donation practices and policies across the organization, and support the establishment and integration of effective donation programs so hospitals can act on registered donation decisions and provide families with the opportunity to donate.
